dforrister@natsource.comDirk Forrister, Managing Director (Washington, DC), is responsible for the origination of advisory business and new products, and manages the Company`s relationships with GG-CAP`s European participants.
Prior to joining Natsource, Mr. Forrister served in senior positions in the U.S. government and the environmental community. He was the Energy Program Manager at Environmental Defense, a U.S. environmental organization, and served as the Chairman of the White House Climate Change Task Force in the Clinton Administration. Mr. Forrister was also a senior U.S. government delegate to the international global climate change negotiations. In this capacity, he was intimately involved in the negotiations of the rules which govern the project-based mechanisms incorporated in the Kyoto Protocol. Mr. Forrister also served as a Special Assistant to the U.S. Secretary of Energy. While at the Department, he participated in the development of the Clinton`s Administration Climate Change Action Plan. This plan included the first project-based mechanism to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Mr. Forrister has a BA from David Lipscomb University and a Juris Doctor degree from Rutgers University School of Law.
